i'm sure many of you have heard about the conservative government cutting two programs of arts touring/presentation abroad. the promart and trade routes were canada's primary overseas arts funding programs (article from the globe and mail attached as well as a good column by simon houpt).
worse days are ahead from this fucking government i'm afraid
so, where does that leave us?

I hear you. I do not believe this government has any idea of the destruction they cause by cutting such programs. Its like they really want to censor Canadian ideas - possibly because these ideas are contrary to their own beliefs. Its like some Cold War regime - scarry stuff.
