Hi everyone
Have any of you heard of IFACCA? Its an international organization whose members are from Art Councils around the world. Here is their link : http://www.ifacca.org/acorns/
Mandate and info on their email newsletter.
To improve the management and sharing of information and ideas between arts councils, ministries of culture and arts and culture organisations, we produce ACORNS - an online news service for and about arts councils and culture agencies. Produced every two weeks, ACORNS contains:
News from IFACCA and from arts and culture funding agencies
News of more general interest to people working in arts councils and culture agencies
A digest of resources, such as links to web sites, new publications, jobs, conferences and events
View the latest ACORNS news items on our homepage.

i'm sure many of you have heard about the conservative government cutting two programs of arts touring/presentation abroad. the promart and trade routes were canada's primary overseas arts funding programs (article from the globe and mail attached as well as a good column by simon houpt).
worse days are ahead from this fucking government i'm afraid
so, where does that leave us?
